MAKING DISCIPLE-MAKING DISCIPLES
It is no secret that in many churches today, discipleship is not truly an active part of church life, it is something that is becoming more and more evident to us. Going to Church, even being in a home group or Bible study group, does not always mean that your relationship with God develops or that you are encouraged to fulfill your potential in Christ, by becoming like Him and doing His works.
If we read Ephesians 4:13-16 we find a good description of what it means to be a disciple. There are four very important points that come out of this;
It is important that each believer becomes mature in Christ (v13)
So that they will not be shaken, but hold true to the teachings of the bible (v14)
So that they will grow in truth and love to become more like Jesus (v15)
And that they would reproduce disciples and grow the church (v16)
WHAT WE DO
We believe our larger calling is to be makers of Disciple-making disciples, and for the present time God has called us to France where we are currently leading the Discipleship Training School (DTS) and are also a part of the base leadership team with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in St Paul-Trois-Chateaux and are involved in all aspects of leading the base. We have a bilingual school (French/English) and have staff and students from around the world.
The DTS is designed to help you understand and know God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify your unique gifts and to begin to understand your God given purpose in missions, be that locally or cross culturally. The DTS is an intensive, residential training course which begins with an 11 or 12 week classroom phase, followed by an 8-12 week outreach. The DTS emphasizes cross-cultural exposure and global awareness, preparing students to answer the call to "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19. The DTS is also the foundation school of YWAM, through which more specialised schools are entered.
